WoW SoD Disc Priest Talents & Runes

Choose the following talents and runes in Phase 3 to heal dungeons and the raid Sunken Temple at level 50 as a Discipline Priest:

It is recommended to use Void Plague over Strength of Soul or Serendipity. The other runes are of very little use in terms of performance as a healer. You’re more helpful to your raid if you can contribute some DPS with Void Plague. If you don’t want to contribute to DPS in your raid, use Strength of Soul or Serendipity based on your preferences.

Use Circle of Healing instead of Penance if more raid healing is required.

WoW SoD Holy Priest Talents & Runes

Discipline is the recommended healing spec for Priests and is vastly dominant in Gnomeregan. If you prefer to play Holy Priest in Phase 2 at level 40, these are your talents and runes:

Priest Healer Raid Consumables

Major Mana Potion is the best mana potion available in Phase 3. Depending on your circ*mstances Superior Mana Potion or even Greater Mana Potion should be sufficient.

Not all bosses in Blackrock Depths are available in Phase 3. We removed items from these bosses, like Eye of Orgrimmar and Songstone of Ironforge. Furthermore, it looks like available bosses from Blackrock Depths are missing items that were added in later phases of Classic, like Mantle of Lost Hope.

Note: Twilight Invoker's Shoes has more healing output than Extraplanar Spidersilk Boots, because it unlocks the 2-piece set bonus. If you want to use Extraplanar Spidersilk Boots anyway, just sacrifice the two-piece bonus. Rakkamar's Tattered Thinking Cap can’t be swapped, because it’s too good.

* For Shifting Scale Talisman you need to have Tailoring, Leatherworking, or Blacksmithing with at least 100 points into it. The quest starts at N'ora Anyheart in Ratchet.

Holy Priest Stat Priority

As a Holy Priest you want to prioritize gear with the following stats:

1. Mana per 5 sec (MP5)
2. Intellect
3. Spell Damage
4. Healing
5. Spirit
6. Spell Hit Chance (up to 5% against enemies 2 levels above you like raid bosses in Level Up Raids)

The value of Spirit and MP5 decreases if you’re not running out of mana. Pure +Healing is generally less sought after in SoD compared to Classic Era. In Era +Healing would allow you to downrank your healing spells, while in SoD a lot of your healing power comes from runes and runes can’t be downranked. With improved gear from you and your raid, Spell Hit Chance gains slightly more value since you have more time to help with DPS.

DPS Build for Shadow Priests in Season of Discovery

To play as a DPS-Priest in dungeons and raids, use the WoW SoD Shadow Priest Spec. This spec is optimized to deal the maximum amount of damage.
