The best iPhone power bank is a brilliant backup to have when your battery is on its last legs. Rather than miss that important call, or miss the chance to get a great photo, it'll give you that extra jolt of juice you need to keep your iPhone alive.
iPhone power banks, or portable chargers, typically offer around 5,000mAh (milliampere-hour) of power, which is normally enough for a day's charge. But if you're going to be away from an outlet for a weekend or more, you'll probably want a bigger one (indeed, you might want to look at the best laptop power banks). That said, they tend to be larger and heavier, so there's a compromise to be made there.
Also, think about what kind of ports and cables you need to charge your particular model of iPhone. If you have one of the latest iPhone generations, ie iPhones 12-14, you won't need a cable at all, as you'll be able to use wireless charging. Well, as long as you buy a power bank that's compatible with Apple's MagSafe technology.
Below you'll find a curated list of the best iPhone power banks available today. We'll start with the best iPhone power bank with MagSafe wireless charging. But if you have an iPhone 5-11, skip to the best iPhone power bank (wired only).

Best iPhone power bank with a stand
1. Belkin MagSafe Power Bank + Stand (5,000mAh)
The best iPhone power bank with a kickstand
Specifications
Capacity: 5,000mAh
Charging method: Wireless
Output: 7.5W
Weight: 150g
Size: 9.37 x 6.38 x 1.65 cm
Reasons to buy
+ Simple folding stand is easy to use Sturdy stand Slim and lightweight
Reasons to avoid
- Only one angle for the stand Slow USB power Cheaper options
The Belkin magnetic power bank is quite the multitasker, merging the handy traits of a portable charger with a nifty built-in stand. It’s more than just a power boost; it’s a way to prop up your phone for videos, keep tabs on notifications, and even dive into video calls hands-free.
Though it might not pack the biggest battery punch out there, it manages to give your phone almost a full recharge when needed. The smaller battery size isn’t a flaw; it’s what keeps this power bank slim, compact, and light and doesn’t weigh you down during long days.
Sure, in the realm of power banks with stands, it might not be the thriftiest choice around. But if you’re all about that blend of style, convenience, and a reliable brand – this Belkin offering definitely hits the mark.

Best iPhone power bank for convenience
2. Anker Nano 533 Power Bank (10,000mAh)
The best for convenience with a built-in USB-C cable
Specifications
Capacity: 10,000 mAh
Maximum wattage: 30W
Output sockets : 1x USB-A, 2x USB-C
Weight: 216g / 7.58oz
Size: 114 x 53 x 25mm / 4.09 x 2.06 x 1.02in
Reasons to buy
+ Very small and cute Built-in USB-C cable that doubles as carry handle Additional USB-C and USB-A ports Battery percentage screen
Reasons to avoid
- Screen is hard to read in the direct light
The Anker Nano power bank has caught my eye for a few reasons. First off, its size and range of colors make it quite an adorable accessory. But it's not just about looks – the shift towards USB-C compatibility, especially with the iPhone 15, is a smart move for compatibility with multiple devices. But having the built-in USB-C cable is a game-changer. No more frantic searches for the right cable when you're in a pinch.
What I find clever is how they've made the cable double as a carry handle. It's a small touch, but one that makes grabbing it on the go a breeze. Plus, that reassuringly secure connection gives hope for long-lasting durability.
Now, the limited capacity is a trade-off for its compact size, but it still packs enough juice for a couple of full iPhone recharges. And the bonus? Those extra USB ports can still be used to charge an iPhone with Apple's Lightning connection, or perhaps a camera battery.

In my tests, the Ugreen power bank kept my iPhone 15 Pro Max topped up for around two full days, recharging the phone's full capacity around one and a half times.
The battery also comes with a versatile built-in foldable kickstand, which you can use to position your phone for a comfortable viewing angle. You also get a USB-C port and a USB-A port for older devices, which allows you to charge your phone or perhaps a camera. The Belkin 20,000mAh power bank was my go-to for keeping my devices juiced up throughout the day, especially when I was on the move and away from regular power outlets. While it might not be the speediest charger out there and isn't geared towards powering laptops, its hefty capacity reliably recharged my iPhone multiple times.

Best Apple-official iPhone power bank
5. MagSafe Battery Pack
The best iPhone power bank that's Apple-official
Specifications
Capacity: 1,460 or 2920mAH
Charging method: Wireless or Lightning (cable not included)
Output: 5W (wireless) or 15W (wireless & wired)
Weight: 113g
Size: 95 x 63 x 11mm
Reasons to buy
+ Official Apple product Wonderfully portable Nicely designed
Reasons to avoid
- Low powered Expensive
Some iPhone users like to stick to official Apple products only. That way, everything's certain to play together nicely, and if it doesn't, those geniuses at the Apple Store are sure to help you fix it.Okay, that's going to be more expensive, but if your time is valuable, or you just want the minimum of stress, it can be a price worth paying.
If you agree, then your best iPhone power bank is this official product from Apple. Note, though, that it's expensive, and the battery isn't the highest powered, at just 1,460 or 2920mAH.
Indeed, you won't even be able to charge your iPhone fully from the MagSafe Battery Pack. Apple promise just a 70 percent additional charge with iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 13 mini, up to 60 percent additional charge with the iPhone 12, iPhone 13, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro, and up to 40 percent additional charge with the iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPhone 13 Pro Max.
On the plus side, at just 11mm thick, it couldn't be more portable. You get the choice of wired and wireless charging, and with the latter, it magnetically snaps to the back of your phone in a quite beautiful fashion. If you prefer the former, you can connect your iPhone via a Lightning cable and 20W+ USB-C power adapter, although you'll need to buy both of these separately.

Best iPhone power bank for size
6. Anker Nano 621 Power Bank (5,000mAh)
The best iPhone power bank for slipping into a pocket
Specifications
Capacity: 5,000mAh
Maximum wattage: 21W
Output sockets: 2x USB-C
Weight: 505g
Size: 160 x 81 x 27 mm
Reasons to buy
+ Built-in USB-C Compact size Fast charging speed Battery indicators
Reasons to avoid
- USB-C can get knocked out Limited capacity
The switch to USB-C charging for the iPhone 15 is indeed a game-changer, making the Anker Nano 22.5W power bank an enticing solution to just slip into a pocket at all times.
With its 5,000mAh capacity, it packs just the right punch to give your phone that essential boost precisely when it's needed, although it isn't going to give you more than one full recharge. However, the 22.5W charging capability ensures a swift charge, so you can get your phone topped up faster.
What's truly convenient is the built-in pop-up USB-C port, eliminating the hassle of carrying an extra cable. It's the kind of versatile gadget that feels like a must-have for every jacket pocket, ready to step in whenever your phone calls for a power pick-me-up.

Best informative iPhone power bank
7. Anker Prime Power Bank (20,000mAh)
The best iPhone power bank for charging information
Specifications
Capacity: 20,000 mAh
Maximum wattage: 100W (200W total)
Output sockets : 1x USB-A, 2x USB-C
Weight: 544g
Size: 124 × 53 × 48 mm
Reasons to buy
+ Two simultaneous 100W fast charging outputs Useful informative screen Decent battery capacity Looks great
Reasons to avoid
- Not the biggest battery Boxy design makes it harder to slip into pockets
The Anker Prime power bank has some standout features that make keeping tabs on your device's battery life a breeze. Its informative screen provides an easy-to-read power percentage and countdown timer, making it convenient to monitor charging and discharging. While it's not totally essential to know – it is fascinating to know how quickly your phone is charging, and this info helps plan ahead to ensure you've got enough battery to last the day.
Beyond its screen, the power bank boasts a hefty 20,000mAh battery capacity. This robust power reserve kept my phone running for days with intermittent recharges or could juice up an iPhone around three times. Also with a very substantial 200W maximum output, while not relevant for iPhones' slower charging speeds, you can fast-charge up to three devices simultaneously.
The only slight drawback might be its boxy shape, which might not slip as easily into pockets, but its sleek appearance compensates for this minor inconvenience.

Best iPhone power bank for multiple devices
8. UGREEN 145W Power Bank (25,000mAh)
The best power bank for charging multiple devices at once
Specifications
Capacity: 25,000mAh
Maximum wattage: 145W
Output sockets: 1x USB-A, 2x USB-C
Weight: 505g
Size: 160 x 81 x 27 mm
Reasons to buy
+ Very fast charging speeds (if your device supports them) Numerical charge indicator Big capacity
Reasons to avoid
- Remembering all the charging output combinations can be confusing
This Ugreen power bank is a real speedster when it comes to juicing up multiple devices fast. With a hefty 145W power split across its USB ports, including a speedy 100W-capable USB-C, it's built to charge up your iPhone as well as other gadgets and power-hungry laptops.
Its ample capacity means I can recharge my iPhone multiple times and keep my camera gear running during those long shoots away from a power outlet.
But hey, it's not the only 25,000mAh power bank out there – and if you're not all about fast charging, then you will find lighter and cheaper options in this list. The power bank is also big and heavy, and let's face it – might be a bit much for some folks to handle.

Best solar powered iPhone power bank
9. Addtop Solar Charger Power Bank
The best iPhone power bank that uses sunlight
Specifications
Capacity: 25,000mAh
Charging method: Micro-USB
Output: 5W
Weight: 538g (with solar panels)
Size: 157 x 90 x 35mm
Reasons to buy
+ 25,000 mAh capacity battery Top up with solar power In-built flashlight
Reasons to avoid
- Solar charging is limited
Off camping in the wilds, and don't know when you'll be back? Then a solar-powered power bank is a great idea and here's the best one we can recommend for iPhone.
One of the best solar chargers around today, it comes with four fold-out solar panels. Its solar power output is 5W, which isn't huge, but it's something; and a way to add to its conventional 25,000mAh battery (which the makers say can charge an iPhone 8 nine times over).
Dual USB outputs allow you to charge two devices simultaneously with 2.1A high charging speed. and there's even an in-built flashlight.

How to choose the best iPhone power bank
The best iPhone power bank for you is the one that suits your charging style best. If you prefer wireless charging, then there are a number of power banks on this list that would suit you better. Wireless charging is much more convenient, but it is much slower than wired charging, and wireless power banks tend to have much lower capacities than wired banks.
If you are happy to charge with a wire, then your choice comes down to how big you want your power bank to be and how often you want to recharge. If want to recharge multiple times then the power bank will be much larger, but it means you'll have to charge the power bank less. If you want a power bank to just keep your phone from completely dying then a smaller power bank will do for emergencies, but might require you to think more about how much power is left in the power bank itself.
What is mAh?
Milliampere hours (mAh) is a widely-used measurement for stating the power capacity of a battery. Apple doesn't give official figures for the capacities of the rechargeable batteries that it puts in its iPhones, but according to Phone Arena the industry-accepted figures are:
iPhone 14 Pro Max - 4,323 mAh
iPhone 14 Pro - 3,200 mAH
iPhone 14 Plus - 4,325 mAH
iPhone 14 - 3,279 mAH
iPhone 13 Pro Max - 4,352 mAH
iPhone 13 Pro - 3,095 mAH
iPhone 13 Mini - 2,406 mAH
iPhone 13 - 3,227 mAH
The bigger the screen, the more power a phone uses - hence why the Pro Max models have the biggest batteries.
As a rough rule, if you divide the battery capacity of the power bank by the capacity of your phone's battery you get the maximum number of recharges it can give. So a 10,000mAh battery could recharge an iPhone 13 three times.
What is the best power bank for iPhone?
Some iPhone users like to stick to official Apple products only. That way, everything's certain to play together nicely, and if it doesn't, those geniuses at the Apple Store are sure to help you fix it.Okay, that's going to be more expensive, but if your time is valuable, or you just want the minimum of stress, it can be a price worth paying.
If you agree, then your best iPhone power bank is the MagSafe Battery Pack, an official product from Apple. Note, though, that it's expensive, and the battery isn't the highest powered, at just 1,460 or 2,920mAH.

How we test iPhone power banks
We test iPhone power banks by trying to use them in our regular daily use of our iPhones, specifically looking at how fast each power bank recharges our phone, and how many chargers can we get out of the power bank before it runs out of juice itself. We can then compare this to the manufacturer specifications, and see how they match up.
We also look at the design and build quality of power banks, rating each power bank on its appearance and durability. Finally, we assess power banks' convenience in use, is it easy to understand, and does it have all the necessary parts.
