Doreen “Deannie” Kay (Ruter) Sproul, age 69, of Buffalo, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2024. She was born on March 29, 1955, in Wilmar, Minnesota, to the late Lucas Ruter and Dorothy (LeCocq) Ruter.

Deannie will be remembered as a vibrant free spirit. She had a natural knack for making jokes and spreading laughter wherever she went.

One of Deannie’s greatest joys in life was being surrounded by nature, particularly spending time on the lake and being out on the water. She found peace being outdoors.

Her love for animals was evident to all who knew her, but it was her special bond with dogs that truly captured her heart. She showered her furry friends with endless affection and care, and they were a source of immense joy and companionship throughout her life.

Deannie will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Though she may no longer be with us in person, her spirit will live on in the fond memories and cherished moments shared with her.

Deannie is survived by her sons, Jonathan Garbrich and Jason (fiancé, Alisa Annis) Klinghagen; grandchildren, Zya Mae Bartlett, Ethan Lee Nissan, Chayse Jamie Cummings, Cody Lane Capehart, Emmett Larry Klinghagen; step-grandchildren, Emma Marie Holmes, George Martin Holmes; siblings, Douglas (Jenny) Ruter, Shela (Tom) Sesnac, Barbara (Tom) Johnson, Lisa Gaudreau, Reneta (Bud) Peterson, and Julie Doom.

Deannie is preceded in death by her parents, Lucas and Dorothy Ruter, and her brother, Michael Ruter.

Private family services will be held.

Dolores Theresa Kruck, age 95 of Buffalo, MN a devoted servant of God, went to be with her Jesus on May 7, 2024.

She was born the daughter of Henry & Margaret (Briggs) Herbst on April 5, 1929 in Minneapolis, MN. Dolores and Bob were united in marriage on August 21, 1948 and this union was blessed with the birth of three sons.

Dolores was known for her steadfast commitment to her faith and in studying and teaching God’s word. Her home became a sanctuary for those who had recently found their faith in Jesus Christ. With open arms and a warm heart, Dolores welcomed new believers into her home for Bible studies and discipleship, where the living room and dining room would overflow.

A true prayer warrior, Dolores had a profound impact on countless lives through her fervent prayers. Her dedication to interceding for others inspired many, and her absence leaves a void in the prayer community. Who will rise to take her place and continue her legacy of prayer?

Dolores was part of the group that founded the Assembly of God Church in Buffalo, MN. A self-taught pianist, she used her talent to uplift others, playing for nursing homes and revivals, spreading joy and comfort through her music.

Dolores cherished the simple joys of life, especially the time spent by the lake at her home. Her home was always filled with fellowship of friends and family gathered to share life together.

Dolores will be deeply missed and is survived by her husband of 75 years, Robert Kruck; sons, Larry Kruck and Robert (Kristine) Kruck; 13 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, Henry & Margaret; sister, Mary Hendren; son, Randy Kruck; daughters-in-law, Beverly Kruck and Susan Kruck; great grandson, Henry Kruck.

Charles Allen Landeck, age 74, of Rural Buffalo, MN passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2024 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital.

He was born in Buffalo, MN on January 9, 1950.

Chuck was confirmed at Cross Ev. Lutheran Church in Rockford, MN on March 22, 1964. His confirmation memory verse was Psalm 46: 1 “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble”

He graduated from Buffalo High School and from College in St. Cloud. Chuck formerly was a Math Teacher and wrestling coach at Lester Prairie High School from 1974 until 1978 and at Watertown-Mayer High School from 1979 until 2010. He retired from coaching wrestling in 1992.

All through the years, Chuck also farmed part time and after retirement from teaching, he became a full-time farmer. He showed Belted Galloway cattle in both Milwaukee, WI and Louisville, KY.

On November 16, 1974 Charles A. Landeck and JoEllen C. (Keimig) were joined in holy marriage at Cross Ev. Lutheran Church in Rockford. God blessed their marriage with two children.

Chuck was an active member of Cross Lutheran and held many offices on the church council. He was the choir director until his death.

Survived by his wife JoEllen “Elly” Landeck; children Nicole (Bradley) Becker and Christopher Landeck;

Grandchildren Garett, Cody, Samantha, Gavin, Alexis and Levi; great-grandchild Kira; other relatives and many friends.

Preceded in death by his mother, Vernice R. Landeck and by his grandmother Alvina Landeck;

Funeral service for Charles A. Landeck will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Cross Ev. Lutheran Church in Rockford, MN. Pastor Michael T. Barlow will officiate.

Visitation will be AT THE CHURCH Thursday, May 9, 2024 from 4-8 PM. A prayer service will be held Thursday evening at 7 PM. Further visitation will be held on Friday, one hour prior to services.

Interment at Elmwood Cemetery.

Jeanne Marie O’Malley, age 84, of Buffalo, MN and formerly of Fifty Lakes, MN passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Morrison County, MN on November 28, 1939 the daughter of Stephen and Hildegarde (Marshik) Zimney.

Jeanne Zimney and Walter C. O’Malley were united in marriage on September 23, 1961 in Las Vegas, NV.

Jeanne was employed as a bookkeeper for many years at WJON Radio in St. Cloud, MN. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, feeding the birds and spending time with her grandchildren. She was dedicated to the Catholic faith; church was very important to her and she often participated in Mass.

Survived by her husband, Walter C. O’Malley; children Pat (Amy) O’Malley, Sean O’Malley and Shannon (Ron) Stewart; grandchildren Kaitlyn O’Malley, Demi Roiland and Delaney O’Malley; Tierney Stewart, Amissa Stewart, Galyna Stewart; Ashlee Ostlund; several great-grandchildren; siblings Marian Salo, Norm Zimney, Ron (Lila) Zimney, Stephen (Felma) Zimney, Betty Jo Berg, Denise Noga, Dan (Ramona) Zimney, and Barb (Bob) Skluzacek; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents and siblings Irene Pennypacker, Donna Zimny and Johnelle Zimney.

Funeral service for Jeanne O’Malley will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at The Peterson Chapel, Buffalo MN. Visitation will be at the funeral home ONE hour prior to services.

Interment Friday, May 10, 2024 at Noon at MN State Veteran’s Cemetery, Camp Ripley, MN.

Dean Thomas Dehmer, age 52 of Big Lake, MN, passed away May 3, 2024.

Born on March 26, 1972 to Thomas and Judy (Geis) Dehmer, Dean grew up in St. Michael, MN, and graduated from St. Michael-Albertville High School with the class of 1990. He furthered his education at Hennepin Technical College, where he trained as a refrigeration technician; a profession he loyally practiced for nearly 35 years with the same company.

Dean was known for his ability to fix anything and also for his meticulous approach to his work. Known as “Dino” to some, he took immense pride in his work and was widely respected for his knowledge.

In 1998, Dean married Angie Marx, the love of his life, marking the beginning of a beautiful journey together. Their love for each other continued to grow with the arrival of their three children. Dean cherished his role as a husband and father, prioritizing his family by providing unwavering love and support. He was strong in his faith and led many rosaries with his family on long journeys. Dean never missed a moment to cheer on his children, attending every sporting event and school activity with pride. He was a loyal companion, father, son, brother, and friend — always there to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. Dean also had a soft spot for his beloved cats.

An energetic soul, Dean was always on the move working on some kind of project or hobby. Being in the outdoors brought him solace and comfort. Whether it was casting a line while fishing, being in the woods during hunting season, or simply enjoying the warmth of a bonfire during camping trips, he was in his happy place outside.

He is preceded in death by his father, Tom; niece, Catherine; and cousin, Nick.

Dean is survived by his wife, Angie; children, Kayla, Tyler, and Zachary; mother, Judy; siblings, Danita (John) Walsh, Eric (Sara), Billy (Rachel), Randy (Jenny); in-laws, Dennis and Kim Marx, and Joyce Marx; many nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at the St. Michael Catholic Church in St. Michael, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM at the church. Interment at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery.

October 4, 1939 – April 30, 2024

Kathleen (Kate) J. Daleiden (Kessler), age 84, of St. Michael, MN, peacefully passed away on April 30th, 2024, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital.

She was born October 4th, 1939, in St. Michael to William and Gertrude (Robeck) Kessler.

She is survived by her children, Kristen (Jay) O’Donnell, Nicholas Daleiden, and Elizabeth (Todd) Miller; grandchildren: Maggie O’Donnell, Zachary Miller, Samantha O’Donnell, Maxwell Miller, Addy Miller, Emma Daleiden, Ethan Daleiden and Ryan Miller, sisters; Lois Zachman and Beverly Kessler brother; Paul (Joyce) Kessler; brother-in-law David (Karyl) Daleiden; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Raymond Daleiden, her parents William and Gertrude Kessler, her sisters Ardis Schleif, and Virginia Kessler, and her brothers, Dale Kessler, Bill Kessler, John Kessler, Wayne Kessler. Their memories, along with Kate’s, will forever be cherished in our hearts.

Kate was a faithful member and actively involved in the St. Michael Catholic Church community where she served on the adult choir for over 40 years, enjoyed ushering, and taught religious education for several years.

Kate started her career working at Powers Department Store, then employed at the St. Michael Medical Clinic. Once married, Kate spent most of her years supporting the family farm and raising her children. She later worked at Kids Play for District 885. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and was particularly proud of her nieces and nephews. Kate loved spending time with family, reading, watching Minnesota Twins games, and spending her summers mowing lawn and gardening.

Mass of Christian Burial Friday, May 10th at 11:00 a.m. St. Michael Catholic Church in St. Michael.   Visitation Thursday, May 9th 4-7 P.M. at the funeral home.  Further visitation Friday morning at the church beginning at 10 a.m. until time of Mass.
