@peppermintstick :
Thanks! I had not used their app before. I tried the free offer and my phone went nuts. Seems like a scam. Too good to be true and their stuff is cheap enough anyway.

@Kaylagirl :
No, Temu is not a scam company, but that being said, I don't use their app. I only order online. What most people don't know is that Temu is a very large company, actually larger than Amazon worldwide. No company is perfect, but no, Temu is not a scam. I still comparison shop, but a LOT of the time Temu is way cheaper than Amazon on the very same products ... sometimes up to 75% less, sometimes not. If I don't like what I get, they are very quick to refund. I have ordered many things from them, and most of it is great stuff. I don't buy clothing there mostly because sizing with companies like Temu can be tricky, but I have bought lots of things for my home and for crafts there. A lot of people worry that they can get "your information". The truth is, if anyone really wants your information, they are going to find one way or another to get it.

Ive got a few decent things from there. Usually adapters and cables for electonics and stuff like that, its slow boat from china so it takes longer, but that stuff is 1/4 the price of Amazon if you can wait for it. Ive also bought running shorts that were nice.

@BrendaT :
My DH hates it just like he does Tik Tok, but I like the prices and some of the items are pretty good. I was being greedy hoping to get the 2 free gifts lol. But I will avoid the app or at least the free gifts from now on.

@Kaylagirl : I like Temu alot but I don't do the app either. They send deals on things in my cart....like a $3 item is suddenly 99cents. Have to order fast though or that deal goes away.

@Kaylagirl :

The free stuff usually requires you to give contact info for more people or sign up to receive text messages yourself. They are not going to blow up my phone anymore.

You must read clothing descriptions very closely as there is alot that is synthetic. My gripe is sleeve length is rarely remotely correct.

I have used the app once to get the free stuff and got about $30 worth of stuff at their prices for $8. Yes, the stuff was free.

I never have ordered from them. The app was so frustrating with free items that I did not want that I couldn't get back to the item I wanted to try. Too frustrating.

I have been using them for a few years and own some of their parent company stock (hasn't gone well lol). They want you to download the app to get up to a free items. Sometimes it is just heavily discounted. The app is concerning with the history of the owner company with spyware. I only use my internet browser to purchase items. I am happy with the prices

If you really want to use the app, I'd suggest using an old phone or tablet instead of your main device. Get a Google Voice number for messages and use it on Wi-Fi only. It'll work fine. And don't use that device for anything else.
