Retribution is a melee DPS specialization with a relativelyeasy-to-grasp playstyle. Retribution's greatest strength is its strong defensive capabilities,allowing it to survive damage that would ordinarily kill most other non-tank specs.

Retribution Paladins do not have a fixed rotation of abilities. Instead,your goal is to make sure that high-priority Holy Power generators are used asoften as possible, while making sure that Holy Power spenders are used beforeHoly Power gets overcapped. Cooldowns are used when their useconditions are reached to maximize their effectiveness.

1. Cast Avenging Wrath on cooldown with at least 4 Holy Power.
2. Cast Execution Sentence.
3. Cast Templar's Verdict with 5 Holy Power.
4. Cast Wake of Ashes with 2 Holy Power or less.
5. Cast Blade of Justice with 3 Holy Power or less and no Expurgation debuff on your target.
6. Cast Divine Toll with 3 Holy Power or less.
7. Cast Judgment with 3 Holy Power or less.
8. Cast Hammer of Wrath with 4 Holy Power or less. Cast with 3 Holy Poweror less against 20% or lower Health targets while using Vanguard's Momentum.
9. Cast Templar Slash just before the 4-second window runs out.
10. Cast Blade of Justice with 3 Holy Power or less.
11. Cast Templar's Verdict with 4 Holy Power.
12. Cast Templar Strikes or Templar Slash.
