How to use the Deluxe Edition Suits in Dead Space (2024)

This guide will explain when, where and how you can get and use the Bonus Suits provided by the Deluxe Edition of Dead Space Remake, released in January 2023!

Where to find the Deluxe Edition Suits

To get the Deluxe Editions of the suits, you will first need to purchase the Deluxe Edition of Dead Space. To learn more about the various editions available for Dead Space, check out our Dead Space Remake Editions Differences Guide!

In order to get the suits from the Deluxe Edition, you need to get towards the end of Chapter 1: New Arrivals.

While on the objective “Get to the Medical Deck”, you will take an elevator to the Flight Deck Tram Station.

At the Flight Deck Tram Station, you’ll have access to a store where you can then access your Storage. The Store is on the right side as you exit from the elevator.

Select a suit to equip and Isaac will change into that suit. Do note that the suits provide no benefits to your inventory slots or armor rating, they are purely cosmetic.

The actual Suit Upgrade is purchased from the Store. In fact, the first Suit update, the Level 2 Suit, is available for purchase in the same first Store that you visit at the end of Chapter 1. It costs 10,000 Credits.

How you look while you play Dead Space, is entirely up to you. Below you can check out detailed overviews of each of the suits and what they are inspired from or what they represent.

DS-08 Legacy Suit

This suit caught me by surprise as I was unaware this would be a thing in the remake. This suit is included with the game by default as an homage to the original game from 2008 with “DS-08” being an acronym for “Dead Space 2008”.

The armor plating on this suit are a much more red shadow of bronze like in the original and this makes a great suit for those feeling nostalgic.

Infested Suit

The Infested suit will provide the appearance of Isaac Clarke being reanimated with bones sticking out, a chunk of his torso missing, and entrails all over the place. You can see ribs sticking out of his back and how his Kinesis module is grafted onto his flesh.

If you want to roleplay an Isaac Clarke who is fighting against the Marker despite being infected himself, then you’ll want the Infested Suit.

Lone Survivor Suit

The Lone Survivor Suit has Isaac decorating his RIG suit with various appendages from human and necromorph remains. His helmet sports two hands mimicking the appearance of antlers and he even carries a necromorph head on his back!

This suit gives the impression that Isaac succumbed to severe isolation while trying to survive the horrors of the USG Ishimura. If you want to live life on the wild side, use the Lone Survivor Suit!

Venture Suit

The Venture Suit provides a clean, professional, and well armored appearance for Isaac Clarke. Though keep in mind that this armor is purely visual, you still need to upgrade your RIG Suit at the store with a purchase of a higher level suit. It’s navy blue appearance gives Isaac an almost militaristic appearance.

This suit would pair nicely with a Pulse Rifle in my opinion. If you want to feel like an Elite Soldier on the USG Ishimura, you can’t go wrong with the Venture Suit.

Bloodied Suit

The Bloodied Suit is a standard Intermediate Engineering Rig but it is covered in blood. You try having a clean suit when you’re fighting necromorphs for hours on end.

If you want the appearance of a more advanced suit while worn from combat, the Bloodied Suit has got you covered*!

*In blood.

Sanctified Suit

The Sanctified Suit has Isaac running around the USG Ishimura in a suit covered in Marker Symbols. The exact translations of the symbols around the suit will be translated later on so keep an eye on this article for updates on that!

If you want to have Isaac come off as a victim of the Marker’s memetic and cognitohazardous effects, the Sanctified Suit will make you whole again!
