If you dropped your case and damaged it, or if it's simply stopped working, you can have your AirPods or AirPods Pro Charging Case repaired. Your issue may even be covered under Apple's One Year Limited Warranty. To get your AirPods case repaired, you'll need tofind an Apple Authorized Service Provider. While you can probably find unauthorized service providers to repair your device, we advise against this, as it may void your warranty and cause Apple to refuse to perform further service on your device.

You'll need your serial number to get repairs from an Apple Authorized Service Provider, but if you have the Charging Case with you, that shouldn't be an obstacle at all: you can find your serial number by opening the case and taking a look at the underside of the lid.

So, let's say you're not under warranty and aren't covered by Apple Care+? How much is it going to cost? That's going to vary based on factors like which model of AirPods or AirPods Pro you have, though in many cases the cost to repair can come close to the cost to replace, so you might even consider springing for a new replacement rather than shelling out for the repair at all. If you've lost your AirPods or AirPods Pro Charging Case, or if you've just decided that for the cost of repair you might as well get a new one, you can replace your Charging Case. If you have first- or second-generation AirPods, you can purchase a replacement AirPods Charging Case directly from Apple.

If, however, you have any generation of AirPods Pro or third-generation AirPods, replacement Charging Cases are not currently available for sale on the Apple site. That doesn't necessarily mean you're out of luck. If you lost your AirPods or AirPods Pro Charging Case, contact Apple Support. While you may not currently be able to purchase Charging Cases for other models on the Apple website, you may be able to get a replacement through service by Apple.

As of this writing, costs to replace AirPods and AirPods Pro Charging Cases not under warranty or Apple Care+ are as follows:

Wireless Charging Case for AirPods Pro$99
MagSafe Charging Case for AirPods Pro$99
AirPods (3rd generation)Charging Case$59
AirPods (3rd generation)Wireless Charging Case$79
AirPods (3rd generation)MagSafe Charging Case$79

If these prices are a little steep for you, third-party options abound. You can find many less costly AirPods Charging Cases andAirPods Pro Charging Cases online, but, as always when purchasing third-party accessories for Apple devices, make sure to read reviews and do your research before purchasing anything. Because these cases are third-party, Apple cannot guarantee their quality and will not service them.
