"Bob" Bicknell, 81, of Brownwood, Texas, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Jasper, Alabama. He died Saturday, April 20, 2024, at an Abilene, Texas, hospital. He was born May 11, 1942, in Richmond, Virginia. His career as an educator and university administrator began at Enterprise (Alabama) State Junior College and continued at Baptist universities in Missouri and Texas. He retired from Howard Payne University (Brownwood) in 2018 as Provost Emeritus. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Pat (Best) Bicknell of Brownwood, Texas; daughter, Sharon McKone of Fort Worth, Texas; son, David Bicknell of Albuquerque, New Mexico;...
