Brent Goudarzi is the founding partner of Goudarzi & Young,L.L.P. in Gilmer, Upshur County, Texas.
The six most consequential settlements and verdicts intransportation litigation history are held by Mr. Goudarzi. Mr.Goudarzi has obtained verdicts of $730 million, $260 million and$101 million. More importantly, Mr. Goudarzi has secured paidsettlements for his clients of $150 million, $140 million and $125million. These six separate case results are unmatched by any lawyeror law firm in the nation. Mr. Goudarzi is currently handling casesall over the United States.
In 2022 alone, Mr. Goudarzi’s office secured over $512 million insettlements for individual tort victims. As a result of Mr.Goudarzi’s accomplishments, he was honored to be named CivilPlaintiff Trial Lawyer of the Year for 2022 by The National TrialLawyers. He received this award at the NTL Summit in Miami, Florida.He is currently the President Elect of The National Trial LawyersAssociation for 2024.
Mr. Goudarzi received his B.A. (1993) and J.D. (1996) from TexasTech University. He is a past President of the East Texas TrialLawyers Association (2011-2017) and currently serves on its board ofdirectors in the capacity of Director Emeritus. Mr. Goudarzi’s practice is devoted to the representation of victimsin catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases, includingcommercial trucking and auto negligence, products liability,workplace injury and premises liability. His law firm hasrepresented over 28,000 people. Mr. Goudarzi is admitted to practicein all State Courts of Texas and the United States District Courtsfor the Eastern and Northern Districts of Texas.
Mr. Goudarzi has tried cases all over the state of Texas and hassecured record jury verdicts in Upshur County, Gregg County,Harrison County, Dallas County, Hopkins County, Marion County,Harris County, Camp County, Titus County, and Smith County.Additionally, he has achieved historic and record settlementsthroughout the state. In 2015, Mr. Goudarzi negotiated the 5th, 13thand 17th largest settlements in the United States and the 3rd, 4th,6th, 11th and 16th largest settlements in Texas.
Mr. Goudarzi’s successes have not gone unnoticed; even by hisadversaries.
