What happens if you don't pay a Labcorp bill? ›

Labcorp reserves the right to refuse service if you have a past due balance. When you visit a Labcorp patient service center, please be aware that, as part of the sign-in process, you will be advised if you have an outstanding balance for previous testing services.

Yes. Labcorp makes it easy to pay any balance owed by presenting your credit card or health care savings account (HSA) card when you check into a Labcorp lab location (patient service center) to have a specimen collected.

Labcorp will provide a Good Faith Estimate before your appointment in the above circ*mstances. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

A physician seeing an indigent patient may authorize Labcorp to adjust a patient bill due to financial hardship by signing an indigent agreement with Labcorp.

Your insurer will inform Labcorp about any balance you owe, and we will send you a bill for that amount. If you are covered by more than one insurance plan, your primary insurer will process your claim first, and then any remaining balance will be billed to the secondary insurer.

To protect the privacy of your data, the personal information in your lab test order must match your Labcorp Patient account. If the information is different, your results may not appear in your account. If you need help accessing your results, you can contact us.

Generally, medical debt forgiveness is based on your income, household size and other factors. You can contact your medical provider for more specific qualification requirements. Typically, hospitals and other health care providers will work with you to reduce your debt.

As of April 2023, medical debt under $500 in collections and any medical debt that's been paid off no longer appears on consumers credit reports. Likewise, medical debt over $500 is not reported to the credit bureaus until a year after going to collections.

Labcorp is one of the largest clinical lab testing companies in the world with more than 2,000 locations in 47 states in the United States. They're accused of installing software that allows Google to “intercept an array of individually-identfiable health information.”

Within 60 days of purchase, you may request a refund of your purchase amount less a $29.00 kit fee, provided that your sample has not been submitted to the lab.

If you do not have insurance or your health care benefits do not cover clinical laboratory testing services, you will have to pay for the tests performed by Labcorp before specimen collection services are performed. Certain routine tests are available at discounted prices through the LabAccess Partnership Program.
